Canon 300D ISO comparisons. Shot in Av mode, with a tripod, f/4, Canon 17-40 L at 17mm. normal day lit room. The first images are a crop from the 100% image to illustrate actual noise. The next set is to see what web images would look like. I'd say ISO3200 is good for web shots.
I will try to take a series of photos in outdoor sunlight with both the 17-40L and the 75-300 IS. The zoom might be a better representation of where one might use ISO 3200.
Just took some photos of a squirrel at ISO3200 with the 75-300 IS. I didn't mean to take them at ISO3200. I thought I was in ISO400. They are at the bottom of the page.

Squirrel shots outdoors, cloudy. I was in Tv mode, ISO3200, shutter speed of 1/400, 300mm. As you can see, at web image size the image is ok. At 100%, I was very disappointed that I flubbed and left it in ISO3200. Lesson learned.
