Noise Ninja Results

Canon 300D ISO comparisons.  Shot in Av mode, with a tripod, f/4, Canon 17-40 L at 17mm.  normal day lit room.  The first images are a crop from the 100% image to illustrate actual noise.  The next set is to see what web images would look like.  I'd say ISO3200 is good for web shots.

I will try to take a series of photos in outdoor sunlight with both the 17-40L and the 75-300 IS.  The zoom might be a better representation of where one might use ISO 3200.

Just took some photos of a squirrel at ISO3200 with the 75-300 IS.  I didn't mean to take them at ISO3200.  I thought I was in ISO400.  They are at the bottom of the page.

100% crop, no processing, ISO100 to 3200.

Squirrel shots outdoors, cloudy.  I was in Tv mode, ISO3200, shutter speed of 1/400, 300mm.  As you can see, at web image size the image is ok.  At 100%, I was very disappointed that I flubbed and left it in ISO3200.  Lesson learned.
